Our building was erected in 1970. Our denominational heritage is in the Church of Scotland and to some we are known as "The Kirk" ("Kirk" simply meaning "church" in Scots). In 2010, we joined the U.S.-based EPC.

Formed in 1968, we are the only Presbyterian congregation on Grand Bahama.

We are "reformed" in theology emphasizing the doctrines of God's sovereign grace in Jesus Christ. We believe that salvation is held out to all through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.

Our congregation is no longer Scottish but multi-national.This is fitting, as the Kingdom of God has no national boundaries and is made up of believers from all countries of God's world. Our numbers swell over the winter months as the ambient weather brings many from countries with more severe winter weather.

We continue to seek ways of making our worship relevant, meaningful and fresh for the 21st century whilst holding fast to historic biblical faith.

With our history of more than 40 years of serving God in Grand Bahama, Lucaya Presbyterian Church has had a significant impact on the spiritual life of the Bahamas. Our congregation has a diverse cultural and religious background, adding to the rich heritage of our community.

With a solid orthodox reformed theology as our foundation, practical Biblical teaching and a blended worship format, our Sunday morning worship services serve the spiritual needs of our local families, seasonal residents and visitors alike. Lucaya Presbyterian Church is a part of the EPC.
